Authors Guidelines

South Asian Management Research Journal (SAMRJ) publishes articles on emerging business and management challenges that can significantly contribute to the academic and practice domains with sound results. It covers empirical and conceptual research on new and innovative topics with a sound theoretical base applicable to non-routine challenges in today’s organizations’ everyday work practices. The research activities may span all industrial and management disciplines utilizing both the ‘outside in’ and ‘inside out’ approaches.

SAMRJ publishes in all fields of ‘Management’ covering organization studies, strategic planning, decision-making methods, leadership studies, management science, and total quality management. The topics that have organization relevance overlapping with Applied Psychology; Business; Business, Finance, Industrial Relations & Labor; Public Administration, and Social Psychology are also acceptable. However, keeping in view our aims, SAMRJ is only interested in theoretical perspectives about organization theory and or data/evidence on South Asia.

The following points provide a quick reference to submission guidelines and the review process.

  • The submitted paper should not be under process/submission/review in any other journal.
  • All new submissions can be electronically by emailing at [email protected] or in MS Word format (i.e., .doc and .docx only).
  • All manuscripts should comply with the SAMRJ style guide (PDF). Noncomplying manuscripts will be returned to authors without being reviewed.
  • Suppose a paper receives a revision or is conditionally accepted. In that case, the journal can ask for additional screening that may require the submission of other information related to methods, analysis codes, output files, and original data.
  • During revision, any change in authors’ affiliation, author order, and addition or subtraction of authors should be explained in a letter to the Editor.
Points of Interest
  • All submissions will be acknowledged. The SAMRJ tries to make the editorial decision within 60 days, but uncontrollable circumstances can result in a longer cycle.
  • All submissions are reviewed by at least two reviewers and the Editor/Associate Editor. The decision, along with review reports is forwarded to the corresponding author.
  • The authors invited for revision are usually given 2 to 4 months for preparing the revision, starting from the date of the invitation.
  • The SAMRJ is aiming to decide on one or two revisions. However, additional work may be required for resolving the remaining issues.
  • The accepted manuscripts are published on the SAMRJ website directly.
  • We are looking forward to your valuable submission and reviewing your research.
